TIMELINE GAME

OBJECTIVE: for the students to write down as much history as they can remember from the exhibit.

MATERIALS NEEDED:
Summer Hill timeline (print one for each student)
Timeline Question Worksheet (print one for each student)
scratch paper
kitchen timer
pencil

TIME LIMIT: Try to keep the time limit very short (approximately 2-5 minutes). Hence, the need for the kitchen timer.

INSTRUCTIONS:
(1) Set the timer and have your students dictate what they feel should be included on the timeline. The teacher should quickly write down the information WHERE the students indicate.
(2) If working with a large class, consider dividing them up into teams, competing to see who can remember the most.
(3) When the Time Line Game is complete, have the students answer the Timeline Question Worksheet and create their own timelines. Have students compare what they remember to what really happened.
